If you encounter an NPC in the game and want them put here for reference let me know. Most of them will be sitting in my files here, and I'll usually oput prominent ones up here. Title: Karl Landis - Principal, Oak Park High School Post by: secretoracle on August 21, 2006, 03:06:17 PM Principal Landis has been at Oak Park since 1990 and is considered a seasoned pro. He's generally liked by the kids and only uses current slang when he knows it'll get a laugh. He handles the schools administration and leaves the discipline up to the deans/vice principles, which rarely makes him the "bad guy". He's due to retire in a few years and is looking forward to a relatively uneventful '06-'07 school year. By his Junior year Logan had filled out, gotten his braces off and his hair had gotten long and shiny. Girls started throwing themselves at him, and he got a whole new host of friends, but the best part was that he didn't give up his other friends. The geeks and freaks. Logan could be class president if he'd only run. He's a straight A student who is on the track team and the debate team. He probably knows everyone in school by their first name, and all the teachers love him. There are a few, very cynical, students who think he's a fake, a total sell out to some kind of image and is completely phoney. Lisa is from a well off family, and has a style that is mimiced by a large slice of the schools female population. If Lisa is wearing it today, five other girls will be wearing it by the end of the week. She has a brother, Elrod, who is also a senior but she tries to pretend he doesn't exist. Her father Charles is the head of the Booster Club and a huge football fan, supporting the school's football team since he went to school here forever ago! Lisa is attractive, but she hates her nose and wants to get it "fixed". She's hoping daddy will give it to her as a graduation present. She is never without a boyfriend of her choice and is always on the lookout for new talent for the squad. Megan Howell is the only Freshman on the squad, and Lisa was only too happy to recruit her for the team. Lisa has told Megan that she'll help her get settled in at Oak Park. "Girls on the squad look out for each other." (http://www.kfaq.net/marvels/2011/Faces/Lisa_Janush.jpg) Title: Cleveland Heep - Science Teacher - Head of the Science Club Post by: secretoracle on August 23, 2006, 09:20:36 AM Mr. Heep is the head of the Science club and is considered by many in the geek crowd to be a cool guy. He often helps students out with space for experiments and will help students struggling in various science subjects improve their grades. Many of the geeks like him because he's one of them, even though he's an older adult he still seems like he relates to them, and they appreciate that. He has a wide variety of skills and although normally teaches Chemistry and Physics can and regularly does fill in for the other science teachers from time to time. He apparently got extra "cred" last year when he and one of his students caused an explosion in one of the science labs that closed school for a day. Most of the teachers respect his academic abilities but many feel he becomes too friendly with his students, especially the Science Club kids. He doesn't keep enough distance in their minds. She's not an incredibly popular girl but is a serious artist and a solid 'B' student. One of her best friends is Kirby Keger, one of the 'science nerds'. Kirby and Gretchen have been friends since grade school and live only a few doors down from one another. Many of the teachers think he'll go far, if he can learn to be a bit more careful. His high intelligence does not come with an equal measure of common sense. Kirby is well liked by his teachers and the other staff, but is often the butt of jokes by his classmates. Althought thought to be attractive, that fact that he's a nerd makes him off limits to most of the girls in his grade. He's considered by his friends to be the High Grand Poohbah Geek. He possesses the knowledge of all things geekery. Computers, games, books, movies, cartoons. He owns a pristine original Star Wars collection and is offended that more people are not amazed by this. He has inherited 'VanGo' from his brother in college who has moved on to a better vehicle. VanGo or rather VanNoGo is a beaten and abused dark green 3 row minivan with… seats. Nothing much to say about it except that it has the capacity to bring people from one place to another which is a strange and wonderous power as far as his friends are concerened. He’s into every genre back to the beginning of film. He has yet to turn any of his friends into true cinemafiles though they’ve seen some movies then they would have otherwise. He usually dumbs down his movie quotes for the rest of his friends and makes them fantasy/scifi accessible. Master of the handcam. Often wears a shirt saying “Recording being made for your safety.†Greg has recently joined the Drama Club to find more actors for his movies. He's made several and managed to rope his friends into helping him. He's looking for a broader pool of talent, well any talent actually. He has a band, and is a big party guy, or he has been the last three years, he seems to be mellowing out this year. He's from a long line of super heroes, but he's the first male to inherit the powers. He is generally liked, but seems a little cold to most people. He's not really a jock, or a nerd, or anything else. He really only fits in with the US group, and that's not a very tight relationship, although he is there when they need him usually.
