[I'll be breaking you out into your own threads or into small groups after I set up each chapter.  At any point that I have to bring a bunch of you together I'll probably start a new chapter.  I hope that the continuity will work out, but we may have to make some allowences.  I'll try to update you as to when a particular scene takes place in reference to one that may still be running.]

Classes resume after the long weekend on September 4th.  Yay, a short week!

There are cones and safety tape blocking paert of one of the third floor halls.  Someone cut a 2 foot diameter hole in the storage closet there, the facilities staff blocks the hall so they can patch the hole up.

At football pratice on Friday the coach had Cal Stewart throwing some passes to Lance Harbor to see just how good Cal's arm was.  He was impressed enough to put him in the game Friday night, which caused some hate and discontent with the "First String" quarterback John Moxon.  He and coach have some heated words, and John makes sure to shoulder past Cal as he's leaving the field.  "Don't sweat it."  Lance tells Cal, "He just thinks he'd God's gift to the game."  Lance, a Junior, seems a lot more accepting of Cal then some of the other older players.

Megan Howell is getting the swing of the pep squad's routine.  she had the long weekend to study the book that Lisa Janush had given her, and she felt pretty confident that day at practice.  Lisa invited her to hang out with the squad after school at a local spot, the Tasty Dog.  It's right across the street from the school, several of the upper classmen eat lunch there and it's a pretty populat after school hang out.  Megan is the only Freshman on the team, so she'll need a little extra time to get into the current flow of fashion and style here at Oak Park.  the other girls are the squad are; Kansas, Cleo, Fern, Hannah, Diane, and Lucy.

Sylvia is getting the hang of where everything is when she gets a message to see Mr. Monnitoff after last period.  Monnitoff is one of the litereature teachers.

Colin has managed to have an uneventful begining.  He's been able to get directions and help finding things from anyone he asks.  After lunch he gets a message to see Mr. Monnitoff after last period.

The gang made sure to save Sarah a seat at the table they commendered in the cafeteria.  Dave and Greg juggled their schedules around so they could have the same lunch as her and Rob, and made the trip up to the North Cafeteria to have lunch with their friends.  Rob goes on and on about the hot chicks in his assorted classes.  Greg announces that he's joined teh Drama club, then demands that the snickering stop.  "I need actors to make films, and they're certainly tempermental enough to be actors."  Dave suggests they make a stop at Tasty Dog before going home so he can watch the assorted floatsam of the school.  "It's like a zoo where the exhibits change every day."

Seth is not at all suprised when Marilyn Sudor, the schools music teacher, finds him in the hall between classes and asks if he'd be willing to help out with the music for this years fall pageant.

Bruce spends the majority of the day annoyed by the noise, finally getting some peace in English class when all the extra voices seem to be silent.  It's only a few minutes after the bell though before they come back to nag at him.  Some of his buddies invite him to smoke a bowl with them after school over at the Tasty Dog.  One of the guys that washes dishes there will hook them up.

Matthew finds himself of a canning at lunch, when two uper classmen jam him in a waste bucket outside the cafeteria.  There is a bit of laughter as he tries to get himself out.  He's made to clean up the mess of spilled food stuffs by one of the lunch ladies, who conveniently didn't see him get dumped.  There is anoter incident a bit later in the day in one of the boys bathrooms on the 4th floor.  This one is a dunking.  there might have been more but the two boys get interrupted by another boy who helps Matthew get cleaned up.

Timmy finds he has caught a lucky break.  He had to shift around two classes and to his suprise his Chemistry teacher is Mr. Heep.  Heep is the head of the science club and considered to be a pretty cool teacher.  He asks for some student help after school with a project for the Drama Club and accepts Timmy as one of the volunteers.

Kelly thought his day was going pretty good.  No fights, he hadn't felt the overriding urge to tell any of his teachers to pack sand, things seemed good.  It was still early in the week though, so anything could happen.  After lunch he got a message to go see one of the Lit teachers, Mr. Monnitoff, after last period.
