Matthew had been dunked and got a lucky break when someone else came into the bathroom and his attackers left.  The older boy helped get Matthew paper towels and was helping him dry his books off, "Hey. You're Matthew Mannox right?  I saw your name on the Science fiction & Fantasy club sign up."

Matt recognizes him as the boy who was there the day the sign up sheets were out.

"Logan Darklighter."  He says, I'm the SF&F secretary.

Logan helps Mattew get his books and pack cleaned up and as they are wshing their hands,  "You have next period with Rory Burns, could you give him something for me."  Logan reaches into his shirt pocekt and takes out one of those collectible card game cards in a plastic sleeve.  "I got this for him, and I keep missing him.  If you could give this to him I'd really appreciate it."

"Huh?" Having just gotten away from the second attack that day, Matt was fully expecting this to be a trap as he looked Logan up and down, especially after that @$€& lunch lady decided to double his humiliation after having him clean up the last time. He was partially expecting Logan to tell him to clean the toilet after having messed it up, or just to beat him up now that he'd gotten rid of the other two ¤§@£wads, and now he wanted Matt do deliver a sleeved CCG card to someone? Okay, this was a setup for sure, but at least now Matt was ready for it. "Yea... okay. I'll take it. And, uh, thanks, I guess."

Matt takes the card and looks it over, checking if it's an actually good card that someone would put in a plastic sleeve, like a first edition Defenders Hulk card or even some solo hero, or something totally lame like one of those recent cheap Omega Squad cards that you'd only sleeve if you were looking to trick someone, hoping it wasn't a Magic: The Gathering card since then he'd have absolutely no clue one way or the other, but having decided before he even glanced at it that if it was themed to a  japanimation show for 6 year olds - like those his brother seemed to be addicted to despite obviously not understanding it one bit - he'd toss it in the first bin he saw regardless of what it was.

"Thanks.  I owe you one."  Logan says as he heads out of the bathroom.

The card does appear to be one of the more rare CCG cards from the super hero game called Marvels Universe ((There is no Marvel comics Co.)).  It's one of the villains, some girl named Sandstorm.  all the cards are modelled on real life super heroes and villains, and Matt remembers reading something about her a few years ago.

Fascinated by the seemingly genuine card, Matt wanders out of the bathroom lost in his own thoughts, mentally comparing Sandstorm's stats to those of his own cards and absentmindedly heads towards class. He remembers his previous thoughts about this probably being a trap and starts to think about his options if it still is, concidering ruining the card at the sight of any trouble but instantly reconcidering and deciding to pawn it instead if so, figuring that anyone like the last two chumps won't care anything about the card anyway if it is a trap. And if it's not... well, he should probably keep an eye out for this Rory Burns, check if he's one of those sleezeball collectors intending to sell off his stash of never-used sleeved cards for way more than he bought it for, or if he's a gamer or even paranormals fan...

In class Matt easily spots Rory.  He's a freshman, a bit on the heavy side with a t-shirt that says My Other Shirt Is Chainmail +5.  He's obviously a card collector and probably a player as well, Matt can see several of the promotional stickers for Marvels Universe and other CCG Games on his binder and pack.

Oh god, and I'm the one getting shoved down cans and toilets? Sheesh, this guy had better take at least a few beat-downs during the day, he deserves it, Matt muses, utterly unaware of how alike his tormentors he can be at times. He briefly conciders keeping the card, but then reconciders, both because he wouldnt have any use for it since he'd gotten tired playing cards solo a few years back and now mostly just collected them to read them over and compare them, and because that Logan guy would probably know.

After class he walks up to Rory, looking for any signs of jumpyness when Matt approaches. "Ey, you Rory? Logan whatever asked me to bring you this."


[[OOC: Oh, Matt's appearance btw, since I didnt get my bio up after all; Fairly thin, pale, with dyed black hair, black pants, a grey shirt, and a black somewhat ill-fitting leather pilot's jacket. Rory seems a little shocked by your initial approach, but settles down when you explain why you're talking to him.  "Oh, yeah."  He takes the card, "Thanks.  Logan and I haven't been able to link up.  I appreciate you dropping this by and all."  his eyes admire the card for a moment, "It's the last on I need, now I've got the complete Y2K set, this is so awesome."  Rory puts the card away in his pack and then heads to his next class.

"That was very nice of you."  The teacher says from her desk.  "Rory doesn't have too many friends, so that meant a lot to him."

"Pff, like if I want to be his friend..." Matt mutters and heads to his next class, while concidering looking for Rory later and talk to him.
