Title: Chapter 12-3 Pep Squad Practice Post by: secretoracle on September 26, 2006, 05:20:02 PM The pep squad spends an hour working on their routine after school. Lisa asks Sylvia to spend some extra time with Megan, to help her get the hang of the dance routines. Lisa got permission for Sylvia and Megan to use one of the rooms in the gymnasium. They spend some time working on the routine, and Sylvia seems to be getting the hang of it. She's not perfct, but she's coming along. They take a break when Lisa comes bacl with some bottled water. "No luck in getting the principal to let Fern back on the team." She says giving the other girls water, "How are things coming in here?" She says giving the other girls water, "How are things coming in here?" Sylvia shrugs, chronically uncertain. She relies on Megan to deliver the authoritative report. I have focused on the arm movements, turns and other things that are really noticeable first. If we have too, we can put her toward the back at the next game and she will look fine. But we will try to get all the steps in as well if we can.†Title: Re: Chapter 12-3 Pep Squad Practice Post by: secretoracle on September 26, 2006, 06:47:33 PM "That's good though." Lisa begins, "Listen, Sylvia. I want you to really feel a part of the team. We look out for each other, and I want you to know that you can come to me if you have any problems or need anything. Fern had a lot of experience, but you'll do fine once you have the steps down." She looks at Megan, "Megan said she'd help you with that, and I'm going to try to get the boys ready to do their part too. We'll be ready for the game Friday, I know we will." Sylvia finds that Lisa's enthusiasm is slightly infectious. "The principal insisted that if Fern hadn't fabricated charges against the boy he wouldn't be acting so tough, but she apparently told him she had nothing to do with the incident, but too many witnesseses say she came onto the guy, so..." With everything else that's been going on, she's not as much into the cheering as she thought she would be, but the girls seem nice, and Sylvia likes the exercise. Still, she deems it best to blend. The school colors and coordinated movements provide much-needed camouflage. Title: Re: Chapter 12-3 Pep Squad Practice Post by: thevshi on September 26, 2006, 08:35:28 PM Megan took a drink from one of the water bottles that Lisa had brought as she listened. She was sure the Senior girl was right and they would be would be ready for the next game, but they wouldn’t be spectacular just yet. It was rather doubtful the squad could even try to compete in the state cheerleading competitions, they just didn’t have enough boys to give them a good shot at that. But that didn’t matter to much to the blond teen, she was more than just happy with her place in the school that being on the squad tended to solidify. She somewhat wondered why Sylvia was here though. She was clearly a good gymnast, a better tumbler than Megan was, but she didn’t have the, “attitudeâ€, for lack of a better word, that the other girls had, to one degree or another. “Well, we should go through the dances for this week’s game one more today before we call it a night.†Megan says as she puts her water down on a bleacher and moves over to the boombox they have been playing the music for the dances in. |
