After the Banner's leave, and Sylvia's family has dinner, she goes to her room and closes the door.  It takes her a few minutes to track down Matt's phone number to call him.  The phone rings about five times before a woman answers, obviously Matt's mother.  She's cordial, but seems a little shocked that the female voice on the other end of the phone is not Shelia.  She get's Matt.

"Some girl named Sylvia?"  can be heard as Matt picks up the phone from where his mother set it.

"Uh.. okay." He takes the phone, puts it to his ear and prepares for anything, with no idea what he's in for... "Hello, Sylvia?"

"Hey, Matt?" Sylvia says, dragging the hall phone up the stairs where she can sit in relative privacy.  "You know superheroes, right?  This guy and his wife came over to my house today, said he was a superhero, said the Avengers had sent him, said his name was David Banner.  Does it check out?"

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" is mostly what can hear from the other side for the next couple of moments, until Matt finally runs out of breath.

Before she can ask him if he's gone insane or something, he shouts back "THE HULK?!? YOU HAD THE HULK IN YOUR HOUSE?!? Pleeease tell me he's still there!"

Sylvia is as skeptical of this as she was of Banner's being a superhero at all.  "Please.  The Hulk?  No way."  She thinks about it.  "No-o.  Maybe one of those gadget guys.  You know, someone who's kind of tough as long as he stays in his car?"

Then she answers Matt's question.  "No, he left.  But he and his wife are going to be in town for a while.  I think we can meet up with them again."

"Oh thank god!" Matt sounds like if Sylvia just told him he wasnt going to die tomorrow after all. "Okay, you don't believe me? Well, remember Rory, what he became, from harmless little geek to, well you know. David Banner started it, when you piss him off he turns into a huge green monster about a dozen feet tall, capable of destroying an entire city in mere moments, the strongest being in the world in fact. And you had him and his wife in your house. But don't worry, he's so cool, he's one of the founding members of the Defenders and stuff... or was it the Avengers? Ah, doesnt matter, he's one of the greatest heroes ever... well at least on a good day. Man this is sooo cool...."

Sylvia, however, was expecting help of a different stripe.  "They foisted us off on the Hulk?  He's a retiree!  Besides--"  She sobers.  "--I thought he was supposed to be a rapist and cannibal or something like that."

"That's like total propaganda crap, just because he may have caused his share of property damage it doesnt make make him a monster. And yea, I guess he's retired or something, but what would you prefer, someone almost as fresh as us with hardly any idea what they're capable of, or someone who's literally stood toe to toe with gods for like forever, who's been through more than anyone else - super or not - could ever imagine? Trust me, in this situation he's like the old retired sensei or something, here to teach the new kids on the block how to go 'wax on, wax off', y'know?" Matt's still a bit too exited to fully make sense.

"Uh, I'll try to dig up what I got on David Banner, his wife and kids and all that and have it ready for tomorrow, then you can decide for yourself. But trust me, we didnt get 'foisted off' or anything, we got like the grandmaster on this stuff..."
