In The News

Police responding to a call of shots fired at an office building near Jackson Park in Chicago arrested four men thought to be employees of Comet Biotech.  The four men had been identified by witnesses and CCTV camera footage.  Several cars and shop windows were hit during the shooting and one civillian was wounded.  A spokesperson for Comet Biotech told the press that the men were responding to an attack at the companies offices and pursued the culprits into the street.  Comet Biotech stated teh employees overstepped their boundries and have offered to pay for the damages caused by the incident.

Another drug lab was shut down last night by the vigilante the authorities are calling the Black Hat.  Witnesses identified the vigilante as the person who destroyed the lab and injured a number of the people protecting it.  In contrast to previous attacks by the Black Hat this one resulted in no deaths.  Police beleive that the vigilante may be seeing the efforts of others in the city and adjusting his tactics accordingly.  Still considered dangerous the vigilante is being sought in other homocides related to the drug Superman.

Oak Park City Council as well as the city of Chicago and several neighboring communities past emergency resolutions last night making the manufacture, distrobution and sale of Superman illegal.  The drug, being new to the streets, is not derived from any of the officially listed contraband drugs and therefore was not classified as illegal prior to this ruling.  This move has made it possible for police to target places where they suspect the drug is being made and the distributors.

The assistant coach for Oak Park has been formally charged with distributing drugs to minors and the head coach is under investigation.  This after a brawl Saturday left several people injured.  Reports that the assistant coach had been giving some of the players Superman led to an investigation and the charges being laid Monday.

School News

Random locker searches continue in an effort to curb the Superman trafficing as well as to identify the person or persons responsible for taking and distributing pictures of female students from the shower room.  Monitors are on duty at all times now, but there is a fear that several pictures are still out there.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that one of the Proviso West studetns involved in the brawl at Saturday's game was a paranormal.  The assistant coach for Oak Park has been formally charged and the head coach is under investigation.  Two suspected drug dealers at Oak Park have been taken in for questioning but not charged.

School Talk

Tension is building between the students over the cancellation of organized sports.  Everyone is blaming the football players and there have already been some pushing matches in the halls.  It's likely to get worse before it gets better.

The ninja are back at it.  Apparently they kicked the crap out of a couple of footballers who decided they were against freedom of speech.  Someone bad mouthd them and some punches were thrown, but the narrow little guy that started it managed to escape a pounding.

Rumor mill has it that you can get a key to the basement doors if you were cut off from your stash or party spot by the recent crackdown on security.

Events

TJ has been working on the analysis of the 'love goo' he got off the lockers a while back, and has also looked over the flower that Sammy dropped off with Mr. Heep a few days ago.  [Thread]

Sarah got the full list of witches from Dave early and went to Yearbook to get pictures to go with them.  [Names at lunch].

During third period (Before Lunch) the PA system comes on and the sound of two people obviously doing something sexual comes over the system.  After about fifteen seconds of that the monitors (the school has TVs in each room to display announcement reminders and news) come to life with a closed circut feed of two people obviously having sex.  They continue at it for a few seconds when the girl looks up and says, "Do you hear that?"  which echoes all over the school.  The boy sits up and they are now both framed in good light so everyone can see it's Lisa Janush (head cheerleader-Senior) and John Maddox (foortball quarterback-Senior).  The boy says "Oh shit."  and the two of them scramble up to get out of the utility closet they were using for the encounter.  About that time the PA and monitors go off.
