Title: Chapter 29-2, The equipment room
Post by: secretoracle on January 14, 2007, 11:49:40 AM
Megan made her way to the equipment room after hearing Kel and Dallas were last seen there.

OOC: Let Kel set the scene so Megan knows what's going on when she arrives.

The equipment room is not far off from the gym, just a storage room.  The space is taken up mainly by shelves of sports equipment: bags of balls, golf clubs, baseball bats, football pads, and a number of other items one would expect to find, as well as equpiment for the odd sport or two, foils for fencing, sets of bows and arrows.  The guys aren't immediately present, but a small noise over by the piles of excercise mats makes it obvious they're here.  As Megan comes around the corner of a stack into another part of the spacious stoarge room, it's hard to figure out what's going on, at first.  They don't wrestle, right?  Kel and Dallas' shirts are both off and they're pressed tight together.  Kel shoves Dallas up against a stack mats and digs his teeth into the other boy's shoulder.  If it weren't for the moan Dallas gave, anyone would think that this was one hell of a sparring match.  Kel's lips move quickly up from shoulder across Dallas' neck to his lips, while Dallas' hands move to Kel's pants.  They busy themselves removing one of Kel's thick belts, when Kel finally turns his head slightly as Megan appears. "Shit!"  He shouts, trying to push back before tumbling onto the floor Dallas coming with.

Megan stood, her mouth open in surprise, for a moment in shock as she came across Kel and Dallas making out before they fell over in surprise of being walked in upon.  She then turned away, her right hand coming up to the side of her eyes in a blur that thankfully Dallas did not see as he fell on top of Kel.  “Ohmygod!”  She said.  “I’m sorry, I’ll just leave you two alone.”

Kel scrabbles to get out from underneath Dallas, pulling his pants taught as he does and fiddling with his belt.  He rises up, and says, "Wait, I, we, uh...can explain..."  He makes a lot of uncomfortable erms and uhs, as he stands there.  Then realizing Dallas is still on the ground, Kel leans over and helps him up, fumbling about for his shirt or jacket.

"What brought you down here anyway Megan?"  Dallas asks, putting his shirt back on.

Megan had not moved much as Kel fumbled about saying they could explain, her hand coming down from her eyes as she stayed turned to the side.  “No, no need to explain, really.  I was just shocked, that’s all.  I mean, whatever you guys what to do is none of my business or anyone else’s.”  She paused a moment and added.  “And I won’t tell anyone, so don’t worry.”

When Dallas asked why she was there, she remembered the get well care in her left hand as she replied.  “I was looking to get your signatures for a get well card for Diane, seeing as we have a lot to do today in practice rearranging everything to be done without her.”

Kel has a rising amount of redness coming to his cheeks as he goes, "Yea, if you could keep this a bit quiet..."  He then takes the card and signs his name in his average scrawl, passing it over to Dallas.  He looks at Megan and says, "Guess this means we're not going to the Halloween party together, eh?"

Dallas takes the card and signs it, giving it back to Megan and waiting to hear her answer to Kel's question.

“Like I said, no one’s business, so I won’t say anything.”  She replied to Kel’s first statement as she faced them, glad they pretty were dressed once more.  Then she added, “but you two might want to be a bit more careful.  As if the fact there is someone setting up cameras for this sort of thing wasn’t enough, one of the football players had told me where you two were.”

Megan takes the card back from Dallas as Kel asks her about the Halloween Party, pausing for a moment.  “Umm, well, I would think I would feel a bit awkward Kel.  I mean hanging out at the party is cool and all, but as a date…I don’t think so.”  She glanced over at Dallas.  “Sides, you two can go together without anyone realizing you are there as more than just friends or something.”

Kel nods and says, "People figure we're just sparring, it makes for a good cover, but yea, I guess finding a way to lock the door or something."  He glances at Dallas unsure of what to say.  Then Megan mentions the whole party, he nods when she mentions not going as a date, makes sense to him, not like he didn't see it coming.  But when she suggests going together he shrugs, looking over at Dallas, "Maybe..."  He looks back over at her and says, "Thanks Meg."

"I don't think were ready for that yet."  Dallas says with a shrug, "You gonna be able to find a replacement date in time?"  Dallas says with a slight smile, obvious that he thinks he already knows the answer.

“No problem Kel.”  Megan replied before she looked over at Dallas and nodded at his statement about the two of them not being ready to have this out in the open.  When he asks if she could find a replacement date in time, she laughed slightly.  “Your kidding right?”  She said with a smile.  “I don’t think it would be much of a problem, but it might just be fun to go without a date, then my options are open.”  She grinned, but then added after a moment, “but depending upon how things go this weekend, it might be really easy.”  Assuming I am not grounded by the end of this weekend.  She thought to herself.

Focusing back on the two teenage boys, she shrugged.  “I’ll just see what happens.  Thanks for the signatures, I’ll…be going now, see you two at practice.”  She then turned to leave.
