Disaster was narrowly averted Saturday when a flag pole toppled over at a high school football game.  No one was injured due to the timely intervention of what some people reported as a dragon.  the creatured appeared out of thin air and rammed into the falling pole, sending it flying into the air and over the bleachers to the parking lot.  The mysterious dragon vanished as quickly as it arrived.  Authorities believe the pole's collapse was no accident and think it may be connected to the collapse of some bleachers a few days before. Both incidents are still under investigation.

School News

Only three weeks left until Homecoming.  Get your tickets now, on sale in the student store.

This is Principal Landis speaking.  I have been notified by the Oak Park Police that the person responsible for the photographs of the girls shower has been arrested.  He's been expelled and will not be permitted to attend Oak Park High in the future.  That is all.

School Talk

Elrod Janush is dating a Freshman, some girl from the band.

Megan Howell has already dug her claws into the new Quaterback.  That girl goes through boys so fast they ought to call her racecar.

It's getting to the point that almost everyone at school knows Sylvia on site.  They associate her with the school paper, and it seems like lots of people say "Hi" to her in the halls for some reason.

By lunch time has Megan heard from Darala about how her meeting with her attorney went?

During home room Sarah asks Megan to get her in touch with Lisa sometime today if possible.  Either in person or over the phone.

Megan will tell Sarah she will arrange what she can, pointing out that any in person meeting would have to be after school as Lisa now attends Fenwick.  She'll offer the idea of maybe trying to have Lisa come over to her parents later that evening (after cheerleading and the Con Debate team meeting).

"That would be great!"

People are saying hi to Sylvia?  This, of course, makes her more paranoid.

She'll try to parlay her newfound celebrity into getting to know Logan a little.  If there's ever an opening to do so, she'll make some conversation, try to get a personal sense of what he's like.

Seth has a gig on tuesday, He's going to extend an invitation to the scooby gang.

Probably unnecessary reminder: Colin at the game saw something that hasn't been disclosed yet.

If Logan Darklighter happens around the Usual Suspects table, Colin has been wanting to give him a nice look with the ghost light for quite some time.

On sunday, if the public library was open, Colin went there to make some research.
- He checked the yearbooks for the other four rapists, especially for the odd one.
- He looked through the phonebook to find their addresses.
- He got a lot of change and, from a public phone, he tried calling those with the same surname of the people he's looking for, each time saying "Hello, I'm a classmate of XXX's. Is he home?", excusing himself when it was the wrong number, and quickly hanging up when it was the right one.

Of course, if the library was closed, he'll do that on monday just after school.

Both Sammy's photos and Sarah's costume sketches will be ready some time this week, but not on monday.

He'll also try to keep an eye on Sylvia. She worries him.

Someday, in a senior yearbook, Sylvia will be voted "Most Likely To Go Over To The Dark Side."  And Colin will be "Most Likely To Go After Her."

I'm trying to find out how much Colin can overstretch himself before snapping.

She left you a voice mail saying the meeting went well and that they talked to the police.  It looks like everything will work out okay.


Megan can text Lisa and arrange to meet after school.


We can work something out in a thread.

You can do this in the halls if you like, you're bound to be able to find him for this.

His aura looks pretty much like everyone else's, nothing special.

I think once Pip ate one whole student he'd be pretty full.  And sick.  You know what these kids are eating.  It's enough to turn a dragon green... or some color that is unhealthy for dragons.

Monday night, after Cheerleading and any Con Debate meeting and dinner and doing some homework (about 40 minutes, ie six hours woth of homework :)), Megan is going to suit up and go out.  She wants to call Kevin and see what the PCD has on Spark, if he has been suspected of any crimes or not.  Then she will run around for a bit looking for people to help.

Kevin tells her that Spark has been out of sight since your last little run-in with him.

Sarah texts Donnie Monday evening:

I've got some fingerprints to check out.  Laticia's.  1 of the oddball tryouts for cheer.  Don't think she did it but at least we can remove her from suspect list.  See you tomorrow.

Sammy sends a message to the scooby gang very late on Monday night. She woke up with an idea.

Hey, I might have a way to approach Candace about the cheerleading thing.  Sarah and I interviewed Laticia about the overcoming disabilities thing.  We can say we want to talk to Candace about Laticia's tryout -- was it fair, etc?  We just make it seem like we want to talk about somebody else, not her.  If she is Pinky, she might slip.  If nothing else, maybe we can get a pen or something else with her prints on it.  Colin, can you come along and check her out with your Sight?

Sometime early this week, Colin will call a newspaper, probably the Tribune, to offer Uther's pic. I don't need it needs a thread.

After school on Wednesday, Sammy goes straight home, up the stairs, and into her room. Her bag and coat dumped unceremoniously into a pile by her desk, she kicks off her shoes, climbs into bed, and pulls the blankets way over her head.  Last time I checked, sleep doesn't require a thread.   :laugh:

Sammy and Elrod went out on Thursday night.

Thrusday after cheerleading (just before going to the training session with Jack) Megan will go over to see Lisa and help her look for her hoodie (if its still missing).  That can be in a thread, or just summerized here, which ever you prefer SO :)

Well, it's totally missing, and she has no idea where it got to.  That's about it.

Also of not, Thevsi reminded me that I had said Homecoming was the 10th, which means next week wouldn't be homecoming week.  If this is true (I need to check my calendar) then I'll update the post accordingly.

Dinner and a movie went well.  Very relaxed time.

Sammy gave Elrod a truthful but also very detail-light version of what made her zoom out of the coffee house.  Two of her friends who were dating got into a fight and probably broke up, she was asked to go after one of them, and it took her a while to find him and let him talk.  By the time things were settled down, it was way too late to do anything but go home.

One point / question was put on the table:  the fight was about lying, and about badly communicated expectations.  Sammy's going to lay it flat out:  does he think of them as being exclusive or more open ended than that?  She just wants to make sure she understands whatever rules he thinks might be in place, if there are any at all.  For herself, she has decided to enjoy whatever they've got going "right now" and not worry a hell of a lot about the future.  If things change, she can worry about it then.

He's on the same page as she is.  Let's do now and let tomorrow worry about itself.  No rules, no expectations.  enjoy our time and each other's company.

Has any newspaper bought Colin's photo of Uther saving the cheerleaders?

The Tribune would have bought it.  A good front page shot like that would probably net you $300.00

Friday afternoon, Sammy goes back to the Science Club meeting.  Two weeks in a row!  Omigosh!  She doesn't have anything to show and tell herself, but she is at a minimum politely interested in what the others are doing.  No agenda, no fact gathering, this is just about being around interesting stuff and smart people.  She's happy to be around them because, to the best of her knowledge, none of them are paranormals or setting themselves up to be heroes (or villains).

Is this week's football game Friday or Saturday?

Which ever it is, Megan is going to organize a shopping trip/going to the moives for the girls on the squad for the other day.  She is sure to invite Sylvia and do her best to try to convince her to come along. :)

Game is Saturday this week.

Is it an away game?  I didn't know if they alternate or if it's got some sort of wacky schedule. 

I think it's an away, but I'd need to check my calendar for that.
