Monday morning, when Colin gets home from his paper route, Chris is there making breakfast.  "Hey, just the man I wanted to see."  Chris says, plating some food for Colin and himself, "The Palmer thing is starting to sort out.  The DA isn't going to press charges.  They're calling it self defense, Kellog was able to determine that a demon was involved.  The mother is going to let us look through his things today, maybe she can get a clearer picture of what happened to him."

Colin sits down and lets out a sigh.

"Thank God and the Great Spirit. And thank you too."

He thinks about it for a bit.

"What about the others? Do you think she'll be able to tell if they were under the influence of the demon too, or... well, if they are just plain bastards on their own?"

"Well, the girl you convinced to turn herself in has identified the others, and another victim, a girl from a mental hospital that was in a catatonic state recently woke up and came in.  She identified the boys as well, so the DA is considering the case.  It's shaky though, the two witnesses are a self admitted pyro and a recently catatonic girl.  There is a possible third victim, we're running it down now."

Colin frowns sadly. "No, another one? Do you happen to know who she is?"

"Chris, if one of these boys was to turn himself in, would the case be any less shaky?" he asks while looking intently for something in the fridge.

"We're running down some leads on the girl, but yeah.  If one of the guys were to turn himself in that would really help make the case better."

Then what I have to do is clear.

"If you find her, please tell me. What they did to them was worse than rape. The other two needed help, and she probably does too."

"We'll see how it goes.  I'll let you know though."
