Sarah has learned who one of the the boys were that had sleeping gas stored at school.  Now she just has to learn more.

Sarah sits at her house and picks up her phone and speed dials Dave. 

Might as well get a little groundwork done.  Well okay I might as well see if Dave can get a little ground work done. 

She listens to the phone ring while she looks up the local listings for Wilde's in the Oak Park area on the computer. 

"Hey Sarah, what's up?"  Dave says answering his phone.

"Hey there Dave!  How's it going?  I have a favor to ask.. I know when don't I these days?  I got a little information about part of the mayhem from the other day and wanted to check into it.  Do you know one of the school brains by the name of Preston Wilde?  He and another geek with a thing for Hong Kong action films were stocking up on cannisters of sleeping gas.  I was wondering if you could help me with addresses for both of these people.  I'm looking at a list of Wilde's in the phone book right now but I don't know his parent's names or even if they are listed.  And if you or your army of invisible informants have any clue about the other kid I'd appreciate it. 

I was planning on swinging by the school and checking it out this afternoon before I went to dinner over at Colin's.  Oh sonofa...  he never said where they were!  Sorry Dave I'm an idiot but you've known that long enough to accept it and still love me for who I am.  I've got to give someone else a quick call.  Can you text me the info on those kids if you can find it?  Oh and hey... what are you up to besides helping me out?"

"I'm installing some stuff in the van.  Let me make a call, I can find Wilde, and I have an idea who the HK movie geek is.  Give me half an hour and I should have what you need."

While Dave talks, Sarah types.  She looks up a phone number for the McFane's.  If none of the addresses match up to a listed number she adds that one to the list for Dave to search. 
Sarah brightens up at the sound of van modification.  She says, "Cool!  Are you finally taking me up on the mini-fridge idea?"
She almost hangs up before adding, "Oh hey Dave?  You are the best."

OOC: If she finds the right McFane's she dials away.

The phone at the McFane's rings a few times before Tim answers it.  He sounds more rested and less strung out emotionally.  "Hello?"

"Hey Tim, I just realized I forgot one thing.  You mentioned a storage closet... was that in the band room, a hallway or a lab or something?" Sarah asks.

"Oh, it was at the back of the science classroom right there by the band practice rooms."

"Groovy," replies Sarah.  She double checks on how he's managing and asks, "You doing okay?  Remember what we said.  You need something, you let us know.  I'll leave you alone for a while."

"I'm better."  he says, "Maybe after a while things will get back to normal and I wont think about what happened too often."

"Just keep reminding yourself it was out of your hands.  We're serious about that.  Your in the band right?  So you go to the games?  Do you have any control over who wins no matter how well you play?  Some stuff you just can't fight.  Though if you could that would be totally cool because we do not have the best record this year.  Seriously I mean John' a good enough quarterback but he can't run down and catch his own passes and make the touchdown."

Ha Ha!  I bet he could but that would let the cat out of the bag huh?

"Sorry I'm getting side tracked huh.  I think hanging out with a cheerleader and a photographer for the school paper is changing my interests or something.  Next thing you know I'll be wearing spirit paints and jumping up and down.  Scary."

She pauses for a moment, "Sorry you must think I'm nuts.  I don't always babble on incessantly.  Anyway I said I was going to leave you alone and instead I'm having a verbal meltdown so I'm going.  Catch ya later Tim.  Did I say it was nice meeting you before?  It was.  See ya!"

"Bye."  he says, before hanging up.

A moment later a text message comes to her phone from Dave with Wilde's address and;

HK Movie geek is Mike Brooks.  Martial artists with a blackbelt or something.  Also an electronics guy in the Science club.

Sarah considers her options. 

"Move the gas or talk to the guys.  Gas first.  While schools out it will probably be easier to deal with.  I can talk with Mike and Preston tomorrow.  Besides I've got a dinner to get ready for in a while!"

She opens her closet and looks over the clothing options.  She finally pulls out a tawny brown sleeveless dress and a cream lace sweater.  She puts them together and hangs them on the door of her closet. 

Next she digs out a pair of paint spattered pants and a grubby hooded sweatshirt.  She changes into those, throws on her oldest sneakers and leaves a note for Mart asking him for a dessert to bring over to Colin's house tonight in exchange for doing his laundry. 

Then it's out the door and off to school on her brother's hybrid bike.  Not as fast as Colin on his racing-bike but I don't know how he avoids getting killed on all these grates with those skinny tires!  And no shocks either.  He's braver than I am.

Oak Park High has a sparse population of janitors and contractors working on airing out the basement.  From what Sarah can see there is no one on the upper floors.

OOC: Where's the science lab closet?  And is it near any stairs/exits etc. ?

OOC: 3rd Floor?  Not close to any exits but it's not far from one of the stairwells.

Sarah starts looking for a good second floor entry point.  If she can't find anything she'll try and buffalo her way in past the cleanup crews. 

Walking through walls would be handy about now.  Then again what if you tripped and fell into the ground?  Could you get back out?  Yikes.

Sarah's athletic prowess is certainly enough for her to leap to a window ledge, then climb up the brickwork of the school to a second floor window.

There is a strange and eire feeling being in a mostly empty school.  With a surefootedness that would mark her as a seasoned burglar she makes her way to the storage closet where the gas was reported to be.  There, in the back under some equipment covers she finds five cannisters of the stuff.  Well, five cannisters of some kind of gas.  They are labeled;

Sarah loads her backpack and zips it back up.
Just doing my civic duty.  Maybe we can get a test done on them just in case.  This is kind of stupid.  I mean, a few cannisters could easily knock a classroom out but who knows if one of the kids will have a problem with the stuff.  I'd never been anesthetized until the other day myself.  What if someone else had a problem like Sammy?

She searches around the closet a little more to make sure there's nothing else of interest. 

Back in the classroom she snuck in through she sends a quick txt to Sammy.

Package retrieved from school.  Heading home.  HK movie fan is mike brooks.
Hope ur having fun.

Satisfied with her work, Sarah slips back down outside as carefully as she can and is gone into the afternoon like... something sneaky. 

Humming the theme to Spy Hunter /Peter Gunn theme she headed for home.

OOC: Sarah makes it home with no problems.  You want me to lock this one down so you can do the dinner at Colin's thing or you need it for more stuff?

I have to talk to Colin about this stuff and after that it will be a group effort anyway.
