Monday
The Chicago Police announced that they have a suspect in custody regarding the string of arson fires that occurred in the region over the last few weeks.  A spokesperson for the Department said that the suspect was a minor and that the District Attorney's office was currently involved in plea agreement negotiations.  Except for what authorities are calling one unintentional death,  the fires have only damaged abandoned buldings and it's beleived that the age of the suspect and other mitigating circumstances will bring the case to a timely conclusion.

The pornography ring operating out of Oak Park High School has been in the news lately.  A suspect was taken into custody after gaining illegal entry into the home of Oak Park's mayor and attempting to take pornographic pictures of his youngest daughter.  The suspect was in possession of a device which allowed him to become invisible, and this was how he had gained access to the Oak Park girl's locker room where he took an as yet unknown number of photographs.  The state is pushing for severe penalties because of the child pornography laws on the books, and several families have filed a cival suit against the young man.

Tuesday
Randy Anderson, the young man that opened fire on his classmates with what authorities have called a "Homemade Ray Gun" has been transferred to Mentano Mental Hospital to undergo evaluation and treatment for personality disorder issues.  The attack left one teacher badly injured and caused several thousand dollars in damage to the school.

NSA agents, State Police, and Chicago Police descended on the Comet Biotech offices Friday.  They siezed computers and arrested several people related to illegal biogenetic research, kidnapping, and brainwashing.  A company spokesman said..."This situation has been brought about by a small fringe group operating inside the company, without sanction.  We are cooperating with the authorities to try and bring about a quick end to this and ensure that justice is served."...It's not know what the fate of the company will be, but thirty minutes after making that statement the spokesman in question was arrested for his involvement in the conspiracy.

Wednesday
A Park Ridge boy died last week in what authorities are calling a paranormal accident.  The victim was 17 year old Leland Palmer.  The boy had apparently gotten involved with the occult and using resources obtained on the internet was able to perform a ritual that made his body a vessel for a demon.  Under the influence of this demon the boy managed to form a cult, including several young men from his school.  this cult engaged in rape and torture of young girls.  Two victims have been identified by the police and a third is suspected.  The situation brought Palmer into conflict with other paranormals and when he attempted to kill the other youths, they defended themselves and ultimate vanquished the demon.  Unfortunately for Palmer, he was killed also.  Police are still investigating all the details of the incident, and the District Attorney's office has decided not to file charges against the two other boys involved, classifying the case as self-defense.

School News

The Football coach said after Saturday's game that although it was a loss, the team is really shaping up and he has no intentions of replacing John Elliott as quarterback for Friday's game.  This is a first round playoff, and if they do well could keep them in the running for a few more games this season.

School Talk

The buzz is about the Janush Halloween Party.  Those who were there are saying it was the best ever, the effects were top notch and the entertainment rocked.  Those who were not there are trying to butter up Elrod for an invite to the next party, which is rumored to be a Winter Break Bash the first Saturday after winter break.

Apparently Elrod is dating some freshman girl from the band  :8  There are a few people who claim to know who she is, but most of the rumor is that it's somekind of mistake, after all he's a senior.

There will be various recruiters coming around campus during the week talking to seniors.

1)I think I'm ready for Seth to have his first 1on1 encounter with a Metahuman...Something he has a 50% chance of winning..

he doesn't necessarily have to win. Just have an encounter. I'd like the dice rolls to play the odds.

2) Seth is going to try to contact some famous TK's maybe try to get some training. Or at least talk.

Via email or posts...He'll leave them very ambiguous. More hints of the fact that he has power than anything else. And they won't be listed to any of Seth's normal Email accounts. He'll create separate ones which he'll check at the library.

3) He'll ask Emma out to a movie.

Very good news. We dodged a bullet there. I have a couple questions:

1) The "young men from his school", the other rapists, have they been identified? I'm asking because Colin would have asked Sarah to help him going after them on monday, after school. Is it a scene we should play out, or a summary would be fine?
(Colin is reluctant telling anybody else their names, but if Kel asks Dave, he could go after them too)

2) The third girl. Colin would try to find out about this girl, to help her as he helped Darla and Samantha.

3) What about the test, the power of bestowing Darla's feelings upon others?

This will depend on how things go.  Be patient, good things come to those who wait.  But, so do bad things, so go figure.

After school.  Fern's house.  Will ring doorbell and ask to talk to Fern.  If it looks like nothing's happening, don't panic.  Just be ready to knock her off me, please.

Okay then.  After practice we will meet near Fern's.

After things wrap up at Fern's Megan will cruise around for a couple of hours seeing as she is already suited up and such, runing up trees to get old lady's cats and such :) 

After her father gets home, she will talk to him and let him know about her involvement in the stuff with Fern, leaving out any details and such about the others (seeing as they made no comments about what they wanted her to do when she "keeps her dad in the loop" like she told them at lunch the Monday after she informed everyone that she had told her dad and mentioned he wanted to be told about her crime fighting activity, so she is defaulting to not telling him much of anything about them other than "some others I know were involved")

[Tueaday]

From the minute Sylvia, Sarah, Sammy, and Megan arrive at school, they notice that they are getting more attention than normal.  Sylvia was just starting to get used to the fact that almost everyone knew her name, but now it's really creepy. 

All the girls notice that every boy in school, and even some of the girls, are looking at them, smiling, holding doors for them, offering to help them with books, flirting (some casually, some not so casually).  Before lunch they're all asked at least once if they'd like to go out (either Friday or Saturday night).

For clarification, making the save means that you're not compelled to stare, but you still "notice" that something is different aboiut the girls.  Failing by up to 5 means that you are "attracted" to them.  Failing by more then 5 but less than 10 means that you'd like to ask them out, spend some time alone with them.  Failing by more than 10 means I'll be PMing you.

EDIT: If you were attracted to one of the girls before, even making the save will enhance that somewhat.  If you thought about them in an intimate manner, and failed the save, then it's worse.  Use your imaginations and common sense when RPing the failures.

OOC:  Are the boys paying special attention to other girls as well?  If not please ignore this entire post.
