In The News
Six girls from Oak Park High School were arrested on a variety of charges including kidnapping and attempted murder.  The bizarre story revolves around them being members of a coven of witches at the school who were responsible for the bizarre sequence of events that took place there late last week.  Police also have links to other crimes including the kidnapping of a local girl on Halloween.  The names of the girls are not being released and they've been transferred to Mentano Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation before facing the charges.

School News
There is a big buzz all over campus about the fact that there was a coven of witches there and that they were responsible for all the crazy stuff from last week.

Also in the talk is the Homecoming dance this weekend.

School Talk
The rumor mill is sort of quiet this week.  With everything that happened last week, and the fact that there are roughyl a dozen OPHS students in custody for assorted crimes, nothing of terrible interest is floating around.

Events
There are bulletins posted all over about this weeks dress up activities.

Some classes have been moved to account for rooms that were damaged or still smell too uch like smoke.

Whenever his attention isn't required too much, Colin asks for the blackbird's eyes to watch over Sammy and Elrod or patrolling a bit in case something else weird comes up.

At some point Monday, Megan, or that is Velocity, will visit Mr. Heep with some of the superspeed drug and new superman drug to see if he can analyze it. 

Sylvia serves her last week with the pep squad and seems to sink into whatever work she can generate for herself on the paper.  She arranges to train more often with Jack after the end of homecoming week, and she spends a lot of her lunches with Logan.

Whenever Kel has a free moment at home, he will begin researching on how to make a proper costume, and he also will be attempting to contact the school ninja clan.

Who does everyone dress up as Tuesday?  Fictional Character Day.

Sylvia shows up in Victorian dress as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have thwarted Sherlock Holmes and to have broken his reserve.  He had a long-running fascination with her even though she showed up in only one story, Scandal In Bohemia, and would often refer to her as "The Woman."  We're not talking hoopskirts or anything.  Even Mitzi thinks that would be impractical for school.  Maybe something like this:

Megan's "costume"

Sammy decided on this when she was out in California, and it was relatively easy to get the costume.  At first she thought "I'll be Jeannie, like in I Dream of Jeannie" but went for something a little more sophisticated.

She comes as Scheherazade, the story teller from Arabian Nights.  She is dressed in a very modestly cut golden yellow harem costume, with lots and lots of veils getting special breeze effects every time she takes a step in her gold satin slippers.  Her wrists and hands are covered in sparkly costume jewelry.  She looks the same, yet looks exotic at the same time.  She appreciates the presence of the Dave squad.

Kel arrives as Sherlock Holmes.  Traditional tweed long coat, hat, magnifying glass, and even a pipe.  His hair is tucked beneath his hat, so at first glance you might not even notice it's him.

Wednesday is decades day.  I posted the lunch room shift.  Anyone dressing up other than Megan, Sylvia and John? (Sylvia is still on the squad so I assume she would have been part of the dance routine?)

Has the decorating committee been allowed access to the gym?  Sammy will have volunteered to do some of the up high work, claiming to be fine with ladders and catwalks and generally unafraid of heights.  She wants to take a good look around to try to scope out where any attacks might begin.

They have been let in to put up signs and the stuff that will hold the decorations.  so it's certainly possible you'd have gotten a chance to look around.
