This thread will cover all the lunch room times for the month, so don't expect it to have tons of continuity.

As they had started doing during Homecoming Week, Megan and John split their time between sitting with the Usual Suspects at lunch and with sitting with the other cheerleaders and football players.

Sammy pretty much disappears from the cafeteria after the news about Pernell comes out.  Football season comes to an end, but the band is still on tap to perform at holiday events.  Most days during lunch she is off in a music room practicing a couple of different instruments, and she got someone to be a voice coach so she's working on that too.  She's occasionally been spotted sneaking off to the tasty dog with Elrod.  She's not unfriendly when she spots any of the crew in the hall, so you shouldn't get the feeling she's avoiding you.

Sarah wanders into the lunch room looking for Dave.  Also everyone else - but first Dave. 

Dave is a very findable guy.  He's at the US table, as usual, reading his latest book.

Sarah sits down across from Dave and stares at him.  Through his book.  Until the heat from laser vision starts to smolder the pages.  If that doesn't work she resorts to interrupting him. 

"Dave?"

"Yeah?"  Dave says, looking up from his book.  "What up?"

"Quick Homecoming question," says Sarah.  "Did you and your minions rig it?"

"Well.  Greg, Rob, and I were trying to think of a gift to get you.  I'll be gone next year, so this will be the last year we're all in school together.  We thought Homecoming Queen would be nice.  Rob said it would certainly be a memory you could take with you.  So we told everyone we know to vote for you.  IF you want to call that rigging it, then yes.  I prefer to think of it as us doing something nice for our long time friend."

Greg and Rob are also present, and they each give her a shoulder hug and a smile.  "Happy Homecoming."  It's creppy that they almost say it in unison.

Sarah cracks a smile.  "Thank you.  It was a really nice present.  And I'm glad it was you three that were involved.  When they said my name I thought the witches were back."  She gives a little sigh of relief. 

"So did I sound like a complete idiot up there?"

"There were soooo many lines you could have said."  Greg says with a smile, "But you were fine."

"You and Colin looked really great up there.  I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."  Rob replies, fishing his lunch from his pack.

"We've decided that you must begin your apprenticeship to command the vast army of minions under my control."  Dave says, setting his book down.  "Rob has refused this honor, so it falls to you my young Padawan Learner."

Sarah gapes at Dave for a moment before attempting a flustered answer, "What? No. See... I mean... I've never even had a puppy.  Can they do my homework?"

Dave smiles, "If that's you need them to do.  But I'll instruct you in the care and feeding of minions.  Not to worry."

Sarah look over at Rob, "Why did you turn him down?  Don't you want to know the secrets of the universe?" 

Rob shrugs.  "I wont have any real need for management skills in the near future."  Rob says, munching on a sandwich. 

Sarah rolls her eyes, "Why is that?  Are you marrying into wealth or something?  Or are you planning on becoming someone's pool boy?"

"No.  Probably college, maybe become an accountant.  I'm good with numbers.  Not really in need of much in the way of management skills."

Sarah nods, accepting Rob's future plans, strange as they might be for him.  "I'll have to think it over for a day or two.  I am flattered by the offer though."  She gets up and walks around the table and gives Dave... and Greg... and Rob all hugs. 

"I've missed you guys this year.  Too much trauma and not enough movies and video games.  I think it's bad for the bodies humors."
