November 23rd, 2007 - Chicago, (Black Friday)
     A jewelry store in downtown Chicago was robbed in the early morning hours.  Video cameras picked up what police are identifying as advanced robots, much like the ones used to rob an armored car last month.  The culprits cleaned out the display cases and the store safe which contained a number of loose diamonds totalling an estimated 1.2 million dollars.

     Police and emergency medical personnel were called to a movie theater when the sprinklers went off in one of the theaters at the multi-plex cinema.  The situation quickly deteriorated when the occupants of the theater began behaving strangely, apparently under the effects of some kind of mood altering chemical.  Several couples had to be forcabley seperated by EMTs.  One person was quoted as saying it was like they'd all been soaked in some kind of love potion.  Chicago Fire Department Haz-Mat teams were called in and determined that there was no permanent health risk to anyone exposed.  Police are investigating.


School News

Mid-Terms will be going on the week before the Holiday Break.

All students should be aware of the cell phone policy here at Oak Park High.  Phones are not to be used during class for any reason.  Any student caught using a phone during class will have the phone confiscated and be sent to the office.  Phones may be used between class and during lunch only.  Thank You.

The Husky News is sponsoring a food drive for the local homeless shelters.  Donations of canned food can be made at the Husky News office or in the bins which can be found in the cafeterias.  That you.


School Talk

One of the new transfers is joining the cheerleading team.

A bunch of students over at Fenwick were arrested last weekend, apparently they were part of some fight club thing and a kid got really badly hurt.

Diane Weston (the cheerleader that broke her leg in the bleachers accident) is out of her cast and going to be joining the squad again.

Events

There are assorted school club meetings OOC: If anyone attends any in particular just let me know.

Besides going to the con debate team meetings as usual, Megan will go to some of the meetings for the Drama club, as she is working to help choreograph some dance routines for them.

Sammy shows up at the drama club meetings too, but for a different reason.  Greg told her that she ought to try out for the spring play, but she wants to know if she likes these folks before she commits to hanging around with them for many long hours, day after day, week after week.  She gets Greg to introduce her around and is kind of surprised when she sees Megan there as well.  She never made the mental connection between cheerleader-choreographer-stage dance production before.  She also hasn't told any of the US about her newfound singing abilities, so unless Greg, Dave, or Elrod spilled the beans, that's still a surprise.

Sylvia tries to get in touch with Dylan to find out if he's in trouble over the fight-club thing.  She'll ask Donnie about it first.  Maybe they can visit him together.

Sylvia also taps Colin for information about the love-goo-cinema thing.  Maybe his pseudo-dad, Chris, has information on the investigation, and maybe Colin can pick up psychic impressions pertaining to the crime.  Sylvia makes sure to be a block away when Colin's doing his thing.  (Colin.  Love goo.  Yee-ech.)

Also, Sylvia calls Sarah, or maybe they can talk during a parkour session.

Kel, now (I am assuming) has gotten his costume set up (I'll have the description in his thread) and ready he is definitely going to investigate the robbery.

You had all of November to research it and put it together.  So it's safe to assume you have it.

Will Sarah's visit to the 800 lb gorilla (Smith) happen this week or next as it is on a Sunday?
