After Megan and John leave the group, they head back towards Megan's house.  "Sarah is right, you're going to meet lots of new people.  Including guys with awesome British accents." 

“Yeah.”  Megan said quietly, a combined feeling of anger and sadness in her chest at the fact she would not see John again for…well, possibly ever.  She looked over at John, her eyes wet.  “All the cute accents in the world won’t help them understand some of the things I’m dealing with like you can.”

"I know."  John takes her hand.  "Just don't be afraid to trust someone you feel deeply about.  I learned that lesson the hard way.  When I met you, and I realized I wanted to tell you about my powers, it lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.  A secret like that can ruin a good thing."

“I know, I felt so relieved I did not have to hide things from you either.”  Megan replied as she squeezed John’s hand.  She then stopped, and turned to face him, still holding his hand.  “But this…I wish I did not have to go.”  A tear ran down one cheek as she looked at John.  “I..love you John.”

"I love you too, and I'm going to miss you.  Just promise me you wont mope around over there."  John smiles slightly.

Megan managed a small smile.  “I’ll try not to for too long, but it is pretty dreary over there this time of year.”

She put her free hand up onto his cheek as she looked up into his eyes.  “I am going to really miss you.  Please remember that there is a lot more to life than heroing, and you have every right to experience them.”

"Same to you.  Don't get too wrapped up in being Velocity and forget to be Megan."

“I won’t.”  Megan said, as she stood up on her toes, as she had so many times before, to kiss him.
