Title: Chapter 43-26, Colin & Sarah talk with Stan Post by: secretoracle on January 19, 2008, 12:17:51 AM The diner Stan gave them directions to is old. From the looks of it the place has been here since the early nineteen hundreds. Painted over, remodeled, painted again, re-plastered, painted again. It's got a warm feeling when you go inside, and Colin can feel the memories and spirits here floating around. It's a place of safety for many, both alive and dead. Stan Juzskowski sits at a booth sipping coffee and eating a slice of apple pie. He smiles when he seey you come in and waves you over, offering you seats. "So, what brings you to seek out the help of this old relic?" Title: Re: Chapter 43-26, Colin & Sarah talk with Stan Post by: Doc on January 19, 2008, 12:43:26 AM "We're young and stupid, I guess." Colin sighs, taking his seat. "Stan, this is Sarah. Sarah, this is Stan Juszkowski. He's a policeman, and a friend. Bobby said we could ask him for help if we got in trouble, and he helped us putting things right with Darla." "It's a rather long story. And it involves people messing with other people's minds, so it gets weird fast. I'll try my best not to make it more of a mess than it already is." He takes a sip of coffee. "There's this girl, Torrance. She just arrived at our school just arrived. She can, or could, make people do what she wants, and make them think it's their idea all along. And what's worse, she thinks it's her right. So she takes what she wants. And she decided she wanted this boy. Elrod Janusch. Yes, those Janusch. The problem is that he has a girlfriend, Sammy, a good friend of ours. So she tried to make them break up, using her powers, getting people hurt, and when she realized she couldn't, out of rage she controlled another one of our friends, Donnie, and made him go give Elrod a lesson. But Donnie is good at beating people up, and he made a good job of it, so the police got involved." Another long sip of coffee. "Now Donnie is in trouble, and Sammy is in trouble too, since they think she sent Donnie after Elrod, and I'm not sure we can prove how things really went, because in the meanwhile Torrance might have lost her powers. We use to think we're on the good side, but I'm afraid we made a real mess here." "Hi," she says before shutting up and letting Colin tell the story. She eyes the apple pie enviously but isn't sure if they'll be staying long. Then Colin orders coffee and she has no choice but to give in to her desires. Soon a coffee and slice of pie are before her and she lets Colin and Stan chat to their hearts content while she modifies her coffee to her taste and eats quietly. "Well, I can certainly ask about the case and see what the police have. It does sound like things are pretty complicated though." He takes another sip of coffee, "You might want to lay low for a little while, try not to get into too much other trouble. The cops are going to be watching your friend's Donnie and Sammy, and all their friends. So you might want to tell anyone else you know with powers to be extra careful." I should have some credit with the PCD. I helped them a couple of times. I could try to find them someone else to worry about." Title: Re: Chapter 43-26, Colin & Sarah talk with Stan Post by: opensesame on January 19, 2008, 09:49:18 PM "This is good pie," comments Sarah chipping in. Title: Re: Chapter 43-26, Colin & Sarah talk with Stan Post by: secretoracle on January 20, 2008, 11:01:30 AM "This is good pie," comments Sarah chipping in. "That's why I come here." Stan says with a smile. "And what if they decide to push charges against Sammy and Donnie? Can we do anything? I should have some credit with the PCD. I helped them a couple of times. I could try to find them someone else to worry about." "Well, it's not that simple. You might be able to do something, but don't count on it. The only thing you have going for you right now is they're minors and don't have any prior record." He pauses, "I assume they don't have a prior record." OOC: Note also that it was the Oak Park PD that took them in NOT the Chicago PD. PCD is part of the Chicago PD and so has no official authority in Oak Park investigation unless Oak Park asks them to help, which might happen if they find out some of the people involved are paranormal. Colin says mentally wondering how much Donnie was involved in Leland Palmer's death according to the law. See if I can find out the details and what the police are looking at. I'll give you a call." Stan takes a sip from his coffee. "I should get going, lots to do." He gets up and shakes hands before leaving. Title: Re: Chapter 43-26, Colin & Sarah talk with Stan Post by: Doc on January 22, 2008, 03:57:04 PM "Thank you, Stan. Goodbye." OOC: I think we're done too. |
