The lunch room is rather bare today, with most of the Usual Suspects elsewhere.

Sarah, the only one who probably makes it into school today heads over to the table.  She had a backpack full of presents for everyone four of them were off running around who knows where.  She dug out her sandwich and munched on it thoughtfully. 

Dave, Rob, and Greg arrive late to lunch.  "Hey kid."  Dave says, collecting sheets of paper from the other two guys.  "This is a list of everyone in all the clubs or groups Torrance is in, and anyone we could find that got into trouble or did something strange since meeting her, those are what the little x's are next to the name.  And, everyone is ready to help track down anything you need to get this chick put away."

Sarah looks at the list and then up at Dave.  She jumps up and gives him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.  "You're the best Dave!"  She tosses in hugs to Rob and Greg as well.  "You guys are so awesome.  I seriously owe you.  Anyone need a quick trip to the malls or something on Christmas Eve you just let me know."

She quickly sits to text the others the good news.

Dave got the goods on Torrence.  We can meet up and hunt down this info or turn it over to the cops to nail her!

"That's very good news." Colin says, appearing from behind Sarah, having just read the message. "Chris is actually talking with the Oak Park PD about it. The main problem is that probably Torrance thinks it was Sylvia who took away her powers, and Sylvia won't talk about it."

Colin takes a seat and lets out a big sigh. He looks really tired.

"I'm sorry to be late. I was busy trying to track down teachers to get the homework for Sammy, Sylvia and Donnie. Unfortunately we still don't earn school credits for saving the world."

He gets out a bottle of water and drinks avidly.

"So, what's the word here at school? Did anyone see you? I guess John is a celebrity now. Poor John. I think he really didn't want this."

"Actually" Dave says, "There were plenty of pics on the local news of the car, but no one managed to notice him stop it with his body.  So, his luck in that department is holding out."

"Good. It would have been an ugly Christmas for him otherwise, with the press at his door. Do you know anything about Elrod?"

Moved to a private room and his status has been changed to Stable.  I heard he was awake, but don't know for sure.  I left a message with Lisa to call me and let me know."  Dave is all business, and Rob and Greg both have slight grins as he passes along the information.

Cell phones hidden where nosy teachers can't find them suddenly vibrate as Sammy's message arrives.

"I need somebody to go with me to rehearsal tonight."

Colin waits for Sarah to read the message too.

"I don't think I can. I'm too tired. I've got to catch some sleep. Sarah, do you think you can help her?"

Sammy waits a while for a reply to her request for help.  If nobody calls back, and it gets too close to the time she has to leave, she'll tell her mom nobody called but that might just be because they're not able to get to their phones during the school day.  "I bet someone will just show up there," she says.
