Unidentified superheroes is how the article reads. An armored car was robbed Saturday afternoon. According to the witnesses a man in a trench coat and dark glasses sprouted four metal tentacles from under his coat. He then proceeded to flip the truck over on it's side, and rip the doors off. The villain made off with several bank bags of money, the estimated take from the robbery was $67,000. School News State and Federal inspectors from the EPA and CDC have declared the schools water system to be safe after worries that it was the cause of the "behavioral" problems that have occurred lately. With the water system ruled out police are focusing back on a member of the faculty or a student. School Talk There is some new kid, Jakob Whyyytshisname. No one seems to be able to pronounce it. His parents died or something. One story has it in a plane crash, one a car crash. It's not so much talk as it's entirely too many people staring as Sammy walks past. Some are smiling, some shaking their heads, and groups whispering. Events Nothing is planned for the week, just classes as usual. Mid-Terms were right before the holiday break, so it's back into the learning. It's that there was a Sammy with Super powers from another dimension! The papers mention that the NSA came to the school. An editorial piece mention some incidents at a high school in the Pacific North-West in the late 80's that were of a similar nature. It begins to draw a lot of parallels between Oak Park High now and Port Angeles Washington back in 1987. Most of them are a stretch, but the fact remains that thirty years ago another high school had super heroes, and visitors from another dimension. By Wednesday the "story" sounds something like this; So this Sammy came here because she was fleeing this crazy Sylvia who is such a prude that she murders everyone Sammy loves. And when those heroes fought them in the cafeteria the crazy Sylvia snatched her up and took her back to where she came from. Like all good stories it ignores the fact that the crazy Sylvia was unconscious. But also by Wednesday only the drooling fan boys care anymore what the story is. By Thursday the story is all but forgotten except by the uber geeks (mostly the really hormone charged ones). Instead there is a focus on other aspects of the story, like the fact that you can travel to other dimensions! The cafeteria is open again Tuesday, with a half dozen strips of yellow CAUTION tape stretched over the hole in the back wall where John got thrown. One store room and one class room have similar webs of tape. The classroom is closed and another one has been put into service. Nick seems to have gone back to his regular routine, and Sammy sees him in all the same places she normally did during the course of a regular day. Elrod on the other hand seems to have vanished. Sammy would see him in the halls between classes at certain points during the day, and in the cafeteria (even though Seniors can eat in any of the four that are on campus or leave for lunch). Since Monday though he's been no where to be seen. |
