Title: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: secretoracle on January 10, 2009, 11:23:50 AM Colin pays a visit to Resurrection Cemetery to talk to Kenneth. He'd asked the spirit to track down Sammy's grandmother. For Colin, walking through a cemetery is like walking through a moving picture show. Flickers of moments from lives flash around him. Moments of happiness, sadness, loss and joy. The spirits of the dead aren't always sad. They drift through the turbulent sea of emotions just like the living. What is stripped away is the mundane, the everyday. The shimmers that are left are powerful and vivid. Kenneth is on the bench where he and Colin first met. Near where his beloved wife and he are laid to rest. Kenneth is a man of his era, waistcoat, top hat, and gloves. Not dressed for the weather, but the lack of steam from his breath would be a sure sign to anyone that he doesn't mind the cold. If anyone else could see him. "Colin, I trust you had a lovely holiday?" He lets out lots of steam, instead. "I'm afraid I'm a typical teenager, Kenneth. I've been at times depressed and euphoric. But they haven't been bad, after all, and all's well that ends well. I'm trying to remind myself, whenever I feel like complaining, that things could go worse, and for many people they actually do. I've recently met a couple friends who could use a little good luck for a change." His looks around at the various monuments covered in snow. "Have you got any message for me? Or news about Marnie?" She's passed on to some other place, some place to live with the angels of the air as I'm told." he laughs, "Sounds rather nice. I might go to see her, but I'd need to know what to ask. There wont be a way for me to bring her here I'm afraid." Title: Re: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: Doc on January 10, 2009, 12:34:06 PM "Well, her granddaughter is learning to deal with her mixed heritage. Sometimes she doesn't know who she is. I think that it could help her to meet others like her. The problem is that we don't know anything about her grandfather. Any help she could give us to find him, or someone of his family, would be very appreciated." He thinks about it some more. "Maybe there's something she'd like to tell her daughter as well. I've had the impression that they might not have been very happy together. Maybe she sees things differently now. I'd like to help them, if that's the case." Title: Re: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: secretoracle on January 10, 2009, 12:42:12 PM "I can certainly ask her about those things. And perhaps these angles of the air can give me a clue where to find another of their kind here?" Title: Re: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: Doc on January 10, 2009, 12:50:15 PM "Oh. Sure. Good idea, she might not know, after all." He considers about that. "Kenneth, these... angels of the air have good reasons to be wary of people looking for them. Please explain them who I am, and that I mean no harm." Title: Re: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: secretoracle on January 10, 2009, 12:53:47 PM "Oh, most assuredly. Would be rude not to let them know the nature of the inquiry." He stands. "I shall go at once. With luck I shall return in a few days with good news." Title: Re: Chapter 54-5, Resurrection Cemetery Post by: Doc on January 10, 2009, 12:58:19 PM "Thank you, my friend. I've been happy to see you." As usual, he has to reign in the impulse to shake his hand. He'd deserve it.
