A quick look inside and he sees her in her room. He makes his way around to the side of the house, the side that faces the house Kel lived in. He spots her window easy enough, and then finds some pebbles. The first time he did this it was a disaster. Back in Maryland, he tried to use pebbles to tap on the window of a friend. He broke the glass and set off the alarm. He's had a lot of practice with his strength since then, and manages to tap the window frame a few times to get her attention. Sylvia pulls back her curtain and can't help but let her worry show when she sees John under her window. Come around to the front, she tells him. It's too cold for them to stand talking in the yard. |
