Donnie stepped out of the Walgreens bathroom, rubbing his hand across the blonde stubble on his head. At Sarah's unasked question (since she had a chocolate chip cookie in the way) Donnie shrugs. "A kid with no hair is a lot less noticable that a kid with a mohawk."  He takes some of the bags from Sarah and pays for the lot, heading out into the parking lot of the Clarksville, Tennessee store. They walk around to the side of the building and Donnie finishes the last of the Sun Chips and a glug of Coke. "Pretty impressive Sarah. Over 300 miles or something like that in a couple of hours."

He pulls his vintage WWI flighter pilot's helmet out and secures it under his chin. "One more time straight up please. Althea will be waiting."

Whistling airstreams all around, and Donnie grins for the two seconds before Althea catches them. Donnie climbs up her shoulder with practiced ease as Sarah teleports behind him. "Sarah!"  Donnie yells. "You want to be in front or behind? If you sit up front, I can make sure you don't slide off. You need to sleep! You're wiped!"

She shakes her head.  "I'm okay!" she yells back.  "Just a little dizzy.  I was going slow for you but it's just as well I did.  I'm just going to hang onto your belt and close my eyes for a little while until my head stops spinning."

She puts her head on his shoulder and grabs his belt with one hand. 

Donnie practices hylokka and keeps himself and Sarah warm. He reaches into the inner jacket pocket to where the phone he got from the garage lay, and attaches the headset jack he had installed in the helmet, just in case she should call.

He centers himself to enjoy the ride, keeping up a mental discussion with Althea so she wouldn't wake Sarah. Pip appears, and spirals around the big dragon, shrilling hellos and diving away to chase birds..

Warmth radiates out from him, though he tries not to overheat Althea.

No, Althea, Sarah is not my new girlfriend. She's not snuggling, she's sleeping. She saved me from that van, remember? Sorry, honey, I don't think she wants to change her hair to pink. It's already red. I know, they call it red, but it's really orange. No, I haven't an Orange Spireback. Whay don't you tell me about them? Uh-huh..yeah...

With Sarah and Althea alternating it takes the expedition about 6 hours to reach Cancun.  Cancun and Chicago are in the same time zone, so they arrive about 9PM.  the night life in Cancun is picking up nicely, the streets along Hotel Row are crowded with tourists trying to escape the winter blahs.  There are plenty of brightly colored shirts and spring dresses, people in flip-flop sandals and the fragrant smells of food drift along on the breeze.  It's only about 68 degrees, but certainly milder than back in Chicago.

OOC: Donnie has recently managed to figure out that he can store a small amount of material (about what you could fit in a hope chest/foot locker) in a space that's partly between here and the Dragon Reach.  Not sure the best way to write the power up.  Any ideas?  Simple is better.

Sarah stretches and yawns.  She looks around and unzips her coat.  "This is awesome!  You are totally going to have to come back here this weekend or next with Syl.  Or you're y'know... dead?  We'll scout somewhere nice along the way.  You can make reservations at a restaurant for the weekend while we're at it.  And pick her up something tropical to wear.  So let's find out which way the uh.. was it the Blue Bay?  Did you grab a map or anything?" 

She looks at her coat and says, "Wish we had somewhere to stuff our flying clothes.  They're a little bulky and out of place here huh?"

Donnie looks agog at the nightlife, his spell translating the rapidfire spanish of the locals as the Americans work on getting drunk or laid all around. Donnie takes Sarah's hand an pulls her into the shadow of a stall selling brighly colored wraps and dresses. When no one is looking, he reaches into the air next to him and his fingers disappear. He draws his hand left to right, leaving an open 'tear' in the air that leaks a cool dry mist. He smiles at Sarah as he folds up his coat and shoves it into the hole, along with his laptop and pack. "In here. Think of it as an interdimensional Hewards Handy Haversack. Just don't go throwing a portable hole in there or we're all doomed."

He looks around at the shop. "Hey Sarah, help me pick out a wrap and dress for Sylvia, could you? I am totally lost when it comes to women's clothes." He starts bartering with the shopkeeper, who smiles as she sees a skilled bargainer. Donnie likes to make his players roleplay out some interactions with NPCs when trying to get a better price on purchsed goods, and it shows here. The fact he was speaking fluent spanish seemed to impress the woman. He also asks for directions to the Blue Bay, helping it along with a bit of a tip for the help. As Sarah browses, he says "Hey do you want a wrap or something? Think of it as a thank you for helping me here."

Sarah stares agog not at the night life but at the tear in the fabric of the universe that Donnie has casually plucked open.  "You have a haversack?  That is so... wow."  She hands Donnie her coat, hat and gloves.  She was honestly too afraid to go poking her hand in the hole which was odd considering she'd been half tempted to leap into a closing dimensional portal only days before.  She fishes a pair thongs from her pack and trades them with her socks and boots.  Pulling off her hoodie she hands it to him as well.   "Here you go Mr. Douglas."    Underneath she is wearing a sage green tank.  

After her things are stowed away in Neverland or where ever Donnie has opened a path to, she comments, "I'd better not lose sight of you or it's going to be a cold trip back home."  

When Donnie leads her into the shop she nods at his request.  "You're in luck Donnie.  With Sylvia's coloring she'd look awesome in just about anything here.  What color does she wear a lot of?  Find something with that as a primary color and you're golden.  Don't worry about me.  We're even by just you inviting me along."  

Donnie thinks for a minute, head cocked as he looked into his memory. "Green. She looks lovely in light green."  He and Sarah find something and he pays in American dollars, giving a nice tip for the information. The two teens head out into the blinking lights of Cancun at night.

OOC: Assume you were headed to the Blue Bay first?

It's not hard to get directions or a tourist map to guide you to the Blue Bay.  It's like so many other hotels and resorts along the strip of land that is Cancun.  Pleasant, English speaking staff greet you as you go inside.  "Good evening, and welcome to the Blue Bay.  How can I be of assistance tonight?"

Sarah smiles politely and lets Donnie do the chatting for now.  If need be she'll ask in her best Jedi for the information after but she really prefers it this way.  Besides this is Donnie's show.  I'm just here for travel arrangements and to soak up some sun.  Messing with people's heads is a... bonus?  No plan B.  Though if I'm ever going to get better I should practice more.  Ooh good excuse brain.  Thank you.  But it's true.  I mean the one time I tried it I totally flopped.  Well I may have to zap Donnie's dad.  It's not like he's gonna smack his forehead with a 'what was I thinking I coulda had a V8' expression and hop on the plane.  'Sure Donnie, You're right, it's my civic responsibility to return to America and turn myself in.'  Yeah that's just how it'll go.

"Hi! my name is Donnie Douglas. My dad is at this resort and we got sort of seperated, I think he was set up in one of the suites, but I didn't pay enough attention. Too much to see. Could you call him for me?" He gives a wide-eyed innocent smile.

The woman at the desk looks at the computer.  After a minute she looks up, "I'm sorry, You said Douglas, right?"  She goes on to confirm the spelling.  "I'm sorry.  Are you sure you have the right place?  It's really easy to get lost once the sun goes down."

"Yeah. Blue Bay, right? My dad went to college with the manager, or owner. One of them."

She checks again.  "I'm sorry, he's not registered.  Maybe I could call the other hotels nearby and see if your dad is there?"

Donnie says "He might not be registered, you know? Old friends and all. Can you check with the manager or owner? Please?"

"Oh.  Sure."  she says.  She gets on the phone and after some nodding and explaining she hangs up.  "Sorry, your father's not here.  But the manager does apparently know him and said he'd be right down."

"Okay!" Donnie sits in one of the seats and kicks his feet, whistling and looking around.

A couple of minutes later a man strolls into the lobby dressed in a bright shirt and linen pants.  He's chatting on a cell phone.  Donnie recognizes him from some pictures of dad in college.  "Don."  he says, offering a hand.  "I think we met when you were about two, so I wont be upset if you don't recognize me."  he slips the phone into his pocket.  "Your dad didn't mention he was in town, so I made a couple calls.  He's booked over at the Ritz-Carlton.  Seaside of the hotel, suite 670.  I could ring over and let him know you're safe if you like?"

Donnie pulls out a local map and looks over it with Sarah. Locating the Ritz he nods to Sarah and says. "Let me use the restroom first. Both of us need to pee like crazy!"  He and Sarah head to the restrooms and when they were out of sight go <fwip!> to the Ritz.

The Ritz-Carlton is a high class five star resort hotel.  It has a seaside, which looks out over the ocean and sandy beaches.  The pool is on that side of the hotel, and the other side is her entrance way and the streets which connect to her. 

Donnie locates some stairs and hustles up them, heart pounding in excitement, fear, and anger. The two teens get to the sixth floor and Donnie pauses to collect his breath and thoughts, turning and looking out at the huge pool. he looks around, seeing if LimberSecretary was perhaps at the poolside before going up and knocking on the door where his dad was supposedly squirreled away.

Really, it was also for him to work his courage up to confront his father about the infidelity.

A moment after Donnie knocks he hears his father call out, "Yes?"

"Dad, it's me. Open up."

Breathe.

Center.

"Donnie?"  There is a pause, and then a man answers the door, Donnie notices the cheap suit and comfortable shoes.  He looks into the hall, then waves Donnie and Sarah inside the room.

In the room there are another half dozen people, mostly in suits sans jackets.  They have badges and guns.  There are documents and laptop computers all over the room.  "You want to tell me what your son and his girlfriend are doing here Mr. Douglas?"  the man that is apparently in charge asks.

Donald Douglas shrugs, "I..I'm not sure."  he turns to look at Donnie, "What are you doing here?"

Donnie looks around, suddenly very afraid he had made a baaad mistake. "Coming to find you. Did you come here with the FBI or did they track you down after you skipped town, leaving me and Mom to face the Corleone crew?"

Bravado in the face of danger! Go me!

Donald seems confused, "What?"  he turns to look back to the other agents.  "They went after my family?  I thought this whole thing was supposed to keep them from doing that?"  Donald seems plenty upset.

The agent in charge raises his hands, "Don, keep it together."  He steps around to look at Donnie.  "You mind explaining to me what you're talking about?"

Sarah looks at Donnie.  "I don't think Syl's going to be that upset after all."

Donnie looks levelly at the agent. "They were waiting for me when I got home. Sarah was coming over so we could study. Mom was already in 'protective custody' evidently or some bullshit like that, but I was left hanging. Why did you let mom think he had left with his secretary? Is she here, by the way? Anyway, as I am sure you probably know, I am not without my resources, and managed to escape." He indicates Sarah with a nod of his head. "We came down here, since it was where he might have gone."

The agent in charge spins to face the room.  "I want a sit rep on who put Mary Douglas in protective custody, and why the fuck I wasn't told.  Then I want to know who tipped off the family that he was out of the country."  People jump to and begin to make calls and work laptops when the agent barks his instructions.  He turns back to Donald.  "Don, I'm going to get this sorted out.  Mary is in protective custody, and apparently there was just a minor mix up.  She's safe, Donnie and his girlfriend are safe.  We'll make sure to keep it that way."

Donald nods.  He turns to Donnie.  "This really isn't how I wanted to have this talk.  But since you're here."  He waves Donnie over towards the balcony. 

Someone gets Sarah a chair and offers her some snacks and assorted beverages.

"I've been helping the feds for a while now."  Donald begins.  "I got approached a few years back to handle some money laundering, and it was the kind of offer that you don't say no to.  So the first chance I got I talked to an old friend from school who had some contacts in the FBI.  Eventually they got me set up with Merideth, she's my secretary.  She's also my...she's also my mistress.  I really didn't want it to be this way, but one thing led to another."  He seems at a loss for how to continue.

Sarah passes on the drinks and snacks.  They probably are the feds.  This is probably just what it seems.  This is probably me enabling Donnie going off half cocked because I'm an idiot.

Donnie stands stiffly, looking out into the raucaus Cancun night. "Your work has made our house cold and lonely. Dad. You pretend that everything is alright, but it's not. You leave all the time. I have been to your office. Both of them. I have seen.. you. And her. With her."  

He clenches his jaw, and he can feel his eyes leaking into green. "Your.. your shit almost drove mom into drinking herself dead. Do you know how many bottles of gin I have dumped out when she wasn't looking? What was it like for her, to have you come home wearing the stink of someone else. What kind of FBI agent screws the person she's supposed to help? Physically, and mentally?" Donnie turns back to his father, eyes an eerie green. "Is she here too?"

Sarah, quite often oblivious to life's little events like homework, too much sugar in coffee and ww2 robot attacks at school, manages to catch the vibe coming off Donnie and starts wondering what to do...

If Donnie blows a gasket...what?  Think about it.  You've never ever seen Donnie do that.  Not once.  Oh he's thrown punches but he didn't start any of it physically.  He'll punch holes in the walls with words if he gets upset enough.  Hope that's not going to be literal though.  Well I'll just have to make sure that no one, besides me and Donnie of course, does anything foolish.  Wonder how many licks to the center of a trained federal agents brain...no...too complicated.

"Your mother has changed, and so have I.  I can't expect you to understand.  We stopped being a couple a long time ago.  I wont deny that I love her, but it's not the kind of love that keeps people happy.  She might not be happy with my infidelity, but it's not because she feels I don't love her.  It's because of the scandal it might cause, that people would think she's not enough woman for me.  And on the matter of her drinking, don't think my affair is what started it.  Your mother has been married to the bottle a lot longer than she's been married to me."  He turns to look into the suite.  "And what's between Merideth and me got out of hand.  She knows she crossed a line, but I pulled her across.  It's complicated."  He looks up towards Sarah.  "Like the fact that your not here with Sylvia must be complicated as well.  And if you don't think it is, you'll be in for a shock."

Donnie sneers "Like you're a master on relationships."

But he deflates. "Dad, did you embezzle money into two offshore accounts?"

Donald almost laughs.  "Embezzle?  Hardly.  Maybe this hasn't occurred to you son but the reason the mob came to me was I'm a software genius."  then his brow knots, "Wait.  How do you know about those accounts?  That's my insurance policy for your mother and you if something should happen to me."

Donnie snorts.

"Well, at least mom will be taken care of. Guess it's community college for me then. I was told that you probably embezzled funds, so I donated one of the accounts to various charities. You're a very charitable person this year, dad!"

Donnie leans on the balcony rail, looking into the brightly lit night. "You never talk about your job, what you do. I assumed you were an accountant since you worked with banks and their servers. What do you do exactly?"

Sarah adds, "And why are we all in Cancun again?  Not that I'm complaining but ... is there an actual reason you're here with government agents?  Did I miss something?  I usually do, maybe there's a program I can read to catch up."

"We're here because none of the people I work for would have been surprised that I came to Cancun in winter with my secretary."  He looks into the room, "At least they're not supposed to be."  Donald pats Donnie on the shoulder, "Well I'll take care of the donations thing when I get home.  As for what I do.  I write software to track money through the banking networks to make sure no one makes off with any.  I also write some AI systems for the PC gaming industry on the side.  That's where the seed money for those accounts came from.  Donnie, I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, man to man.  Your mother and I agreed that we wouldn't separate as long as you were home.  We probably should have just gotten smart and minimized your future therapist bills and gotten a divorce.  I know it can't have been easy living with us the last few years."

"Nope. Hasn't. Hmph. Maybe I got my programming skills from you then. I didn't think something like that was inheritable. I ought to show you what a little magic in the code will do for you." He looks in at the bustle of the FBI agents. "Mom was surprised, and angry, and tearful. She knows more than you think, like me. Why are all these FBI agents hunched over computers here anyway?"

Donnie pulls out a couple well-folded brocures as he turns to Sarah. "Looks like United has a flight straight from the Cancun airport back to O'Hare. Want one of thse FBI guys get us a couple flights back, or do you want to return the way we came?"

"They're watching where the money I've been laundering is going.  And,"  he raises his voice "they had better be finding my wife as well."  This receives a wave from the agent in charge who is talking on two cell phones at once.  "She's not a stupid woman.  I always hoped she'd go back to school.  Finish her degree.  Find something to make her happy.  Lord knows that wasn't me."

A knock at the door draws stares and a flurry of motion.  The agent in charge waves dad over, and he calls out, "Yes, who is it?"

"Commander David Cole, National Security Agency."

Sarah glances at Donnie.  She says quietly, "Maybe we  should step into the bedroom for a minute?  We probably shouldn't be here and someone from another agency might have questions."

She stands up. 

Donnie nods and the two teens head into the bedroom. Of course, the door is cracked open so they can listen in on what's being said in the other room..

The agent in charge pulls open the door.  "What the hell are you doing here?"

-----  Cole says from the hallway.  The agent in charge's phone rings.  "And that's your boss calling to tell you that your case is now ours.  Since some of your money is being fed into Ultra-Terrorist hands."

"Like hell my case is yours."  the agent screams answering the phone, "Benedict here.......yes sir....but....we...yes sir."  The agent's phone splatters against the wall.  "Shit!  Four years we've been running this op, four fucking years!"

"I'll make sure your names are all in the report to Justice once it gets sorted, and then you can arrest all the mobsters you want.  Right now though we're bagging the hit squad that came down here to get your witness."

"What!"

"Yeah, the agents in Chicago that picked up Mrs. Douglas."  Cole pauses, turning to Donald, "Your wife is fine by the way.  anyway they were on the take and the second you said you were headed to Mexico to do a debrief of Douglas they knew it was time to move."

"They've known about him?"

"Yeah, for months now.  Well, a few of them have.  They wanted the money to keep flowing.  they decided that killing a few FBI guys who were not on US soil preferable to killing them on US soil.  I can't say as I blame them."

"Wait.  You don't have any authority here."

"Actually, the Mexican government would rather a Strike Ops Team slice in here and quietly bag a team of killers than to have a room full of FBI agents have a movie style shootout with them.  In the middle of the winter tourist season."

"What now?"

"Some NSA guys will come up and get you and your witness out of here.  And I'm supposed to fly two teenagers that entered the country illegally back to Chicago."

Sarah mouths, "Busted." to Donnie. 

Donnie looks to Sarah. "Totally." Then he grins. "I've never been extradited from another country before."

Sarah rolls her eyes, "Well at the rate we're going I'm sure it wont be the last time."

"Those kids?  We were just about to get to how they got here in the first place."

"Well, you can skip that."  there is a wrapping at the door to the room where Donnie and Sarah are.  "Hey guys, we need to get going."  The voice of the man named Cole says.

"When will your people be here?"  Donald asks.

"To pick up everything, few minutes."

"And your sure my wife is ok?"

"She's in good hands Mr. Douglas."

Donnie's phone indicates an incoming call, from his mom's number.

Donnie's eyes dart from Sarah to his dad and to the man named Cole. He answers his phone with a simple "Hello?"

"Donnie?"  It's Mary Douglas' voice.  "Are you okay?  Has the man from the NSA gotten there yet?"

"Yes he has. Are you okay? What happened? Did those FBI guys hurt you or anything? "

"I'm fine.  Did you know Jack knows people in the NSA?  No, I'm ok.  I was just worried about you and Don.  They said I can go home, Jack said he'd stick around until you got back.  When are you coming home honey?"

Sarah wonders, Maybe I can get an "I snuck across the border and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" t-shirt.  Man, we're not even going to get to the beach are we?

"Soon, I think. I'm not surprised at that about Jack. He was someone very important back in the day. I think we'll be leaving very soon, okay? I'll call you back."

He turns to Sarah. "Looks like we won't get to see the sights. Sorry. Perhaps next time we can come here normally, with passports and airfare. We'll make a group outing of it or something."  He shrugs.

Sarah nods and sighs.  "Yeah okay.  I was hoping to see the sunrise on the water and soak up some warmth.  Weather control.  Now that's a useful power.  Imagine Chicago in the seventies all winter.  How awesome would that be?"

"Ok.  Be safe."  and she ends the call.

A minute later there is a knock on the door of the suite and more agents come inside.  "We clear?"  Cole asks.

"Area is clear.  Dust Off is on the way, ETA six minutes."

"Ok."  Cole says, clapping his hands together loudly, "Saddle up ladies and gentleman.  Grab your notes, laptops and anything else you brought.  Mr. Douglas I need you to leave everything here, including your passport.  This lovely woman will be taking your place to cross back into the US when we give her the all clear."

"I don't understand."  Donald says.

"She's a shape changer, one of the best in the business.  So you only need your shaving kit, and a change of cloths.  Leave everything else, wallet, ID, passport, all of it."

"Oh.  Ok."

"This way it will look like you left the US and then returned normally."

"But I thought the mob.."

"Let us handle that.  We have people who will take the blame and cover the bases.  It will seem like there was a miscommunication in the family organization and no one will be the wiser.  In the meantime you'll be in DC with us and the FBI showing us where all the magic money went.  Ok?"

"Let me say goodbye to Donnie first."

"Sure."

Donald comes into the room where Donnie and Sarah are.  "I'll be back home as soon as this is over.  And maybe, I don't know.  We can talk and figure out where we are.  As a family."

Sarah thinks, Awwww.  But she says to the NSA agent, "Are you sure we can't stay until lunch tomorrow?  Maybe go for a swim in the ocean?  Soak up a few warm rays to dispel the winter blahs?  Cross our hearts not to cause any international incidents?"

Cole looks at her, then shrugs.  "Sure, I guess.  Come on."  He waves for them to follow him, "We'll get you the rooms on either side of the one I'm in."  He starts from the room, "And I can explain to you how close you two came to being shot down by F-16s out of Arizona."

Donnie nods. "We need to. Even if all the secrets can't be brouoght out in the open, we need to fix things for the better. I can't grow up with all this.. " Donnie waves his hands at the FBI agents gathering their stuff. "..going on. My life is crazy enough as it is. I need something solid and normal."

He offers his hand to his father. Hugging is out of the question now. Especially with all the FBI agents and NSA around. Perhaps forever. He looks curiously for the shapechanger Cole had mentioned.


Donnie narrows his eyes. "That would have ended.. unpleasantly."  

Donald nods and shakes his son's hand.


"For you, one way or another.  But you're lucky we look first and then shoot.  And the Mexican Air Force is like the two hundred and thirty seventh largest in the world, but they like to ask us about things first too.  Especially when they're coming out of our air space and all."  Cole says getting the door for Sarah.  "so, someone said something about some swimming?"

"Mexico has an airforce? Huh."

She gulps at the thought of being set on by military aircraft.  Shot down?  Holy crap.  Would we even have had time to notice a missile before we were a messy smudge?  Eek!  I'm sticking with air Sammy from now on.  Sarah says, "Apparently our ride showed up pretty well on radar.  You'll have to get a few cans of carbon fiber paint." 

She smiles at the nice government agent and says, "Swimming?  Yes please."

She waves a farewell to Mr. Douglas and heads out with the NSA agent. 
She looks at Donnie and asks him, "Is it okay with you if we hang out for a little while?  We don't even have to stay until lunch if you want." 

Donnie shrugs, face a bit sullen. "Whatever you want, Sarah. I screwed up royally, again. I'm leaving the decision making to others for a while."

Cole chuckles.  "I say that to my wife all the time."  He takes them from the hotel to one a few doors down.  At the desk he talks to the clerk, and there is some shaking of heads and then he nods with a wide eyed look.  the clerk is still saying it's not possible, and Cole just keeps nodding.  "Make it happen.  That's what makes you who you are, your ability to make things happen."  She looks at Cole for a moment, then picks up the phone.  some rapid fire Spanish and she hangs up.

"It will be a few minutes while we clean the rooms."

"See."  Cole says, "You made it happen."  He sets the black American Express Card on the counter.  "Put everything on this."  She nods and processes the card.  Cole turns back to the pair.  "Ok.  They need to clean up the rooms, I guess some people had to be moved.  We'll head up to my room and then we can get you some swim stuff and we can hit the pool."

She grins at him before saying, "Oh that's right, I was the voice of reason on this little trip.  How silly of me not to have noticed.  Well at least this gives you the chance to plan something special for you and Syl.  Nothing says 'I'm sorry' like a tropical paradise get away."

"Next time though, take a commercial airliner and use your passports."  Cole says.  "Oh!"  He says, reaching into his back pocket for an envelope.  "Some snapshots for you."  Inside are about a dozen pictures, all from overhead of the pair riding Althea, or standing in assorted spots on the ground.  Obviously satellite images. 

They get to the room and Cole opens the door for them.  "We'll hop a Vari-Jet in the morning.  You'll have to sit through the Don't invade other countries illegally speech from one of the State Department guys.  But other than that I should have you home by Noon.  Sarah, do we need to call your folks to let them know you're safe?"

Donnie mumbles "Yes sir." He takes the pictures and his mind starts thinking up solutions. If I develop another invisibility spell that I can use on others. Maybe even Dragons..

"Strange day. Threatened by the mob, questioned by the FBI, picked up by NSA, and soon to be lectured by the State Department. All I need is to be grounded for a week by the President, I guess."

"We try to keep him out of the loop on Paranormal Ops.  It just gums up the works if we don't."  Cole says, "If you guys need swim cloths the gift shop is open, charge it to this room.  And I'll meet you by the pool in say thirty?"

OOC: Assume that there is some swimming, you guys get some dinner and sleep and then go home tomorrow.  The State Department lecture is on the plane, and it's essentially about not crossing into other nations air-space and making sure you have your passport if you leave the country.  You get the strange feeling this poor State Department guy has given this speech before, and the fact that your two 14 year olds doesn't seem to phase him.  He doesn't talk down to you, but treats you like adults.  answering any questions you might have.

Sarah smiles and says, "Not necessary sir but thanks."  Besides, if anything happened I left them a spare.  "Oh, what's a very jet?"

OOC: I'm good to end it.  Sarah makes a point of two events though.
1.  Help Donnie arrange some sort of cool idea / plan for Sylvia - we can work that out later
2.  I'm going down to the beach at dawn and finding a seashell.  If I have time I'll splash around in the ocean. 

OOC: No problem on those items.  It's easy enough to go find a sea shell and splash around.

On the ride home Sarah clings to Donnie's hand.  Planes and Miss Rollins don't get on well together.  "Mankind was meant to fly by mutant evolution not strapping sheet metal together and finding loopholes in aerodynamics."

Donnie pats her hand with the one not being crushed by hers. "I think flying in big tin cans is a little bit of magic that mankind has explained away with science. Just remember, you can always pop away if we um, nevermind." Donnie gives a toothy grin.

Sarah nods, "Yeah I know... it's just not fun.. I mean that sudden getting shoved into the back of your seat on take off and random shuddering.  The recycled air and the fact that you sound like your talking to me through a tube.  My ears don't pop very well on airplanes.  Stupid things." 
She cracks her jaw and yawns and wiggles a finger in her ear.  With a sigh she sits back.  "Well at least I saw the sunrise on the ocean.  Totally worth getting busted.  Why couldn't we live near this border and not the Canadian one?  I can't wait for summer."
