A strange emotional outburst at the University of Chicago Movie Auditorium has authorities concerned. During a Romantic Comedy Film Festival Saturday almost the entire audience was overcome with a deep sadness that resulted in the movie being shut down and the theater evacuated. Authorities are searching for a young couple seen in the projection booth that apparently stole a piece of equipment that might have had something to do with the event. Part of an abandoned building collapsed when a group of teens attacked a young woman. Witnesses say that one of the male attackers possessed what seemed like super human strength, and the fight eventually caused a floor of the building to collapse. The three males were arrested in connection with other assaults in the area over the last few weeks. Witnesses say the woman they attacked seemed to move with amazing agility, possibly herself a paranormal. She was seen climbing from the wreckage before the authorities arrived. No one could give the police a name for the woman that was involved in the conflict, but all three males were identified as members of a local gang. School News The Oak Park Student Council Valentine's Day Dance will be held Friday February 15th at 6PM at the Gymnasium. Tickets are on sale now at the Student Store and booths will be set up for ticket sales during the week. One dollar from each ticket will be donated to local homeless shelters. The dance will be a costume dance, costumes are optional but the Student Council encourages them. So show your school spirit and buy a ticket, dress upm and come out to celebrate Valentine's Day with someone special. School Talk That kid from Welshland and the hot mexican chick must have had some sort of falling out. What makes you say that? She looks like a truck ran her over. I've seen her fight dude, no way the scrawny little Welshman does that to her. Anyone that sees Alicia can tell it looks like she's been in a serious scrap, or was hit by a car. There is a buzz among the drama kids about the fun Saturday. Lots of talk about the Valentine's Day dance. Rumor is that Elrod is skipping his party so the school dance can happen. He's why they're giving a dollar from each ticket to charity and why it's a masquerade dance. He's also apparently arranging for the band. Events Laney gets pulled into the drama circle by the production folks. (Not a thread thing, but know that she is now gaining a circle of friends not related to the Usual Suspects) Heather and some of the other band girls make a point of spending time with Sammy. OOC: All those with connections to groups outside the Usual Suspects get a chance to spend some time with them. Ticket sales have been good, and there is a lot of excitement about the costume aspect. Lots of groups are getting together and trying to come up with themes for outfits.
