In the News
An explosion at Oak Park High School killed a teacher, Stephen Hamilton, last week.  No students were seriously harmed in the blast that destroyed five class rooms.  The explosion seems to have been the result of a gas leak that was possibly deliberate.  Police aren't releasing any further details at this time.

The city is allowing Oak Park Students to return to classes Monday.  Repair crews have been working through the weekend to ensure the structural stability of the building, but repairs to the damaged class rooms have been hampered.  Classes have been rearranged to work around the damaged rooms.

School News
Morning Announcement, repeated every five minutes before first bell.  "Room changes are posted for some of the science classrooms.  Please ensure you check these listings which can be found on all the school bulletin boards and the doors of the administration offices, school nurses office, cafeterias, and restrooms."

Mr. Hamilton's classes will be divided up among the other science teachers until a replacement can be found.

School Talk
"I heard Hamilton blew himself up because he was experimenting on the cheerleaders."  "Right, that's about as likely as this place being a hub of criminal activity.  Geez."

"I saw an angle save a girl from the explosion."  "Me too."  "There's an angel in my English class."  "You're a pig."

Sylvia's going to go after Hugo Strange.  She'll round up Sammy (with whom she had prior arrangements) and Sarah (who's presumably got some defense against Mind Control) and try to read him from a distance.  When that fails, she'll suggest Sarah look through Strange's office.

She'll also ask Dave for Hugo Strange's home address, in the event that they don't find anything in the office.

If that's the case, then Sammy will set up an appointment with Dr. Strange as soon as one is available.  Can Sylvia link through Sammy, essentially hitchhike in Sammy's brain?

Go ahead and start a thread for that.  Dave can easily give you Strange's home address.  He has an office at the school district HQ, and a small office here at Oak Park.


I'll see if I can set those encounters up.

Based on prior experience . . . I guess so?  Like a lot of us, I've been black-boxing Sylvia's powers for 2+ years now.

So Scene 1:  Sammy meets Strange.  You could set that up, Kat.

I started a thread, so just post a start and we'll go from there.

Sarah smiles and hugs Sylvia saying, "Of course I'll go with you to Dr. Strange's.  I'm so glad your finally willing to get some help.  We all thought you were going to keep everything bottled up until you exploded.  .... What?"

Sarah, returning lightly tanned from her hooky-cation is Out Of The Loop.

We're just shaking an NPC down for clues.  It seems plausible to me that Sarah could be raiding the other two locations (the district office and Strange's home) while Sammy's got him distracted--and Sylvia is getting an early start on her lifetime habit of lying facedown in a pool of her own vomit.

Things I'd like:

- Colin to go to what remains of Hamilton's office to try to contact his ghost. (If fate is kind, he won't find Laney and Sammy there :))

- Have a thread for whatever Sarah/Sesame would like, as a welcome back.

Too damn bad the spoof of that scene from Monsters Vs. Aliens is not up on YouTube yet, otherwise I'd put it up as an answer. ;D

I used to own the soundtrack of that movie and would constantly play it, especially that piece, full-volume, in my car. I'd make the rear window vibrate. :D

Edit: Oh, and in case it got lost in the shuffle, Alicia most definitely wants to be there when her sweet baboo gets to meet the little green men...
